Responsibilities
- Work safely, produce high-quality products in an efficient manner, and learn other positions on the line.
- Show up to work your scheduled hours to potentially earn a Quarterly Attendance Bonus of up to $600 per quarter.
- Earn up to 10% of your gross monthly pay as Gainshare Bonus.
- Earn up to $11.50 per hour in Production Bonus based on the plant hitting production goals.
- Lift and handle battery parts, envelope materials, elements and batteries weighing from grams to 50 pounds.
- Process 1000-2400 batteries per 10-hour shift.
- First piece set-up, weld breaks, and weld analysis.
- Process continuous and repetitive loading of plates into feed magazines and some hand stacking of positive and negative plates.
- Understand and communicate in basic English to receive training, instructions and perform team responsibilities.
- Recognize & Record scrap during shift when required.
- Fill out JD Edwards reconciliation form, end of shift.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5s requirements.
- Comply with safety and health regulations for the protection of self and fellow workers.
- Follow Lean Manufacturing Procedures.
- Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
- Follow safety policies to include use of PPE.
Requirements
- Positive attitude, safety and quality orientations, and a team-oriented spirit.
- Dependable and takes pride in their work.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous Manufacturing or Related Experience Preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Qualifications
- Must be able to understand and communicate in basic English.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and metatarsal guard shoes, etc., as required in established policy.
- Must be able to work from 10 inches to 60 inches above the floor and reach 24 inches side to side.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).
Skills
- Must be able to lift and handle battery parts, envelope materials, elements and batteries weighing from grams to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for 10-hour shift.
- Must be able to bend, lift, push, stoop and pull.
- Must be able to reach 24 inches side to side.

Pay
The starting pay rate is $23.96 per hour.

A Shift: Day: Sun-Tues, every other Wed
B Shift: Night: Sun-Tues, every other Wed
C Shift: Day - Thurs-Sat, every other Wed
D Shift: Night - Thurs-Sat, every other Wed
