Production Operator

Job Summary

The Production Operator position is available at a Medical Device Company located in Sandy, UT. The role is a 12-month contract position offering 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on a regular, punctual basis (Monday to Thursday, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM).
• Perform tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, maintenance, testing, and packaging of extruded products.
• Set up, operate, and maintain extrusion equipment, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Ensure that manufactured products meet quality specifications and are produced at the rated output.
• Conduct quality inspections on the processing line according to quality specifications.
• Show good attention to detail and place extruded components into inventory.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Read, write, interpret, and perform basic math calculations using relevant controlled documents and tools of measurement.
• Work flexible and extended hours as required.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and team members to ensure smooth operation during breaks and call-outs.
• Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Work effectively in a team with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Prefer 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with some mechanical experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen or have a valid Green Card.
