Production Operator

Join our team as a key member of the Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs and create final high-quality products. Gain skills and experience transforming raw materials into finished goods, including operating machinery, equipment, and packaging. This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, serving producers and animal owners throughout the United States with innovative nutritional products.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety processes and promote safe practices for self and others.
• Arrive on time, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
• Multitask and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure all quality standards and standard operating procedures are followed during production.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Collaborate with and follow instructions from leads and management to accomplish daily work assignments.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year or more of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; always respectful.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year of manufacturing work experience.
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements.
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods, including areas where dust and chemicals may be present.

Pay

$24.40 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Hiring bonus: $500 after completing a 30-day period and an additional $500 after completing 6 months of employment (total of $1,000).

Schedule

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
