Production Operator

About the role

As a Production Operator, you will contribute to Johnson Matthey's mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future. The role involves completing a production process operation according to standard operating procedures, operating in a safe, productive, and high-quality manner, and actively participating in problem-solving activities to help the team meet its goals.

Responsibilities

• Completes production process operations according to standard operating procedures.
• Operates and monitors equipment and processes safely and efficiently.
• Loads/unloads materials, inspects, and packs products.
• Records production statistics accurately.
• Checks quality of work against JM and customer specifications.
• Escalates issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Identifies and escalates opportunities for improvement.
• Supports CAPS implementation using lean tools like problem-solving and 5S.
• Identifies and implements opportunities for continuous improvement and best practice principles.
• Safeguards safety standards at all times.
• Ensures quality of work meets high standards.
• Accountable for following standard processes to complete tasks.
• Supports in the training of other Operators.

Requirements

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic to intermediate knowledge in computer usage is desirable.
