Production Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operating manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard work instructions
• Adhering to safety policies, programs, and procedures
• Inspecting raw materials and finished products per quality specifications
• Conducting quality checks at regular intervals
• Working closely with the production team to meet goals/objectives
• Operating counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
• Entering waste, downtime data into the system
• Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a 10 or 12 hour rotating shift (days/nights), including some future weekends
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry
• Preferred: Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience
• Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
• Good communication skills
• Able to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
• Able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
