Production Operator

About the role

GAF Ennis is a large site within the company, located about 30 minutes south of Dallas. The site has been operational for over 40 years and continues to evolve, offering exciting opportunities for employees who value innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Unloading of fiber receiving in a safe and acceptable level that prevents container damage and organized storage.
• Transporting finished product to the warehouses.
• Collecting / transporting scrap waste for disposal.
• Maintaining stock of materials used for packaging.
• Absorb at the winder for packaging the finished product.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work independently for extended periods
• Knowledge of the package end operation

Qualifications

• Adequate training and basic knowledge of the package end operation
• Able to work in an industrial manufacturing environment around, and with the general product raw materials listed: crushed limestone granules, boiler slag granules and fines, limestone filler, fiber glass mat, and petroleum based products

• Physical stamina for a stationary position
• Ability to move, traverse, transport, lift, exert force, reach, grasp, feel, communicate, coordinate, and perform repetitive motions
