Production Operator

About the role

Join BlueLinx, a leading wholesale distributor of building and industrial products in the United States. As a Production Operator, you'll be a vital part of our dynamic team at our distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Reading and writing English
• General Math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Able to climb, reach, bend, and pull
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk)
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area
• Absorb and understand sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested

Requirements

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
• Proficient and safe use of forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work independently at times under pressure
• Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs
• Safe work record and stable work history

Pay

The fixed rate is $19.22 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations.

Schedule

A Monday - Friday workweek with a consistent schedule
