About the Role
CMC provides an excellent opportunity to learn the steel, construction reinforcement, and ground stabilization industries while growing your career. You’ll receive training and support from your team to excel in your role, whether you're working in an office, operating equipment, or troubleshooting technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Interpret work orders and instructions to set up and operate equipment
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area while following safety regulations
- Perform transactions and data entry at computer workstations
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including bridge cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts
- Load and unload trucks and/or railcars using overhead cranes
- Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust shop equipment such as furnaces, straighteners, saws, and shot blast machines to ensure conforming products
- Follow schedules, work orders, and instructions provided by supervisors
- Perform material handling tasks and hardness tests with provided equipment
- Take measurements using tape measures, calipers, and other tools
Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions from crew supervisors
- High School Diploma or GED required
