About the role
We are looking for a 2nd shift packager/production operator to join our team producing high-quality food ingredients.
Responsibilities
- Package yeast powder used in food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
- Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink-wrapping machine
- Take samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
- Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
- Perform cleaning for your assigned area in compliance with company and government policy
- Fill out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
- Follow food and safety standards and good manufacturing practices
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work both 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends
- Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment and food manufacturing
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly, position 100 lbs, stand for extended periods, assemble equipment, and work safely in a hot environment
Pay
Excellent compensation averaging $31+/hour (includes shift premiums and overtime).
