Summary
The Secondary/Finishing Operator will produce parts by operating various machines, inspect and pack those parts, and adhere to safety protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform machine operation in accordance with job instructions and check sheets.
- Maintain production levels in accordance with the job instructions.
- Maintain safety devices in proper placement before operating any equipment.
- Apply safe work place practices in material handling and machine operation.
- Inspect and pack parts according to instructions and customer requirements.
- Keep machines in good working order and perform preventive maintenance as required.
- Inform Manager of quality issues.
- Ensure scales are kept in good condition for accurate weight count.
- Input production data into the ERP system.
- Communicate problem areas and deficiencies to Manager for corrective actions.
- Aid in training of new Machine Operators as needed.
- Attend training activities as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams as required.
- Participate in safety and OSHA training.
- Keep work area clean and tidy at all times.
- Work in an organized manner with attention to details.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Graduation from high school or equivalent (GED).
- Experience working with machines in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Pay
- $19.86 starting wage for second shift.
- $2.50 shift differential.
