Production Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

Omnium is a manufacturing division of WinField United, focusing on the production of Crop Protection Products, Adjuvants, and Crop Nutrition Products under the WinField United brand. OMNIUM also produces products for leading domestic and international suppliers on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Performing manufacturing processes that add value and quality to raw materials
• Adding value through proprietary processes
• Packaging final products
• Ensuring safety, attention to detail, quality, and sanitation in all stages of production
• Working in a fast-paced environment
• Engaging in movement throughout the day, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing a variety of physical activities
• Operating heavy machinery and wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in cold and/or hot temperatures, and dusty environments
• Engaging in productive and collaborative communication with co-workers

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• 6+ months of manufacturing experience
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic math
• Self-reliant and able to work under limited supervision
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Communicate work order progress to supervisor and other operators
• Customer-focused and able to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Knowledge of various pieces of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment
• Able to follow manufacturer's specifications and directions
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industry, self-reliance, ability to trouble shoot mechanical problems, effective communication, flexibility in work performed and schedule, knowledge of various pieces of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment, ability to follow manufacturer's specifications and directions, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to work in cold and/or hot temperatures, adherence to standard operating procedures, and ensuring a safe working environment.
