Production Operator / 2nd Shift

About the role

This position involves assembling devices requiring adjusting and fitting parts to close tolerance. Responsibilities include setting up and operating machines for sub-assembly, final assembly, and calibration operations. The role may also involve directing other operators with similar or lesser skills. Collaboration with Inspection and Production Control Departments is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assembles devices from sub-assembly to calibration and final assembly
• Repairs finished devices and sub-assemblies
• Schedules products through operations and inspection
• Performs set-up of standard and special purpose equipment
• Trains operators in assembly and sub-assembly questions
• Provides recommendations for improvements/changes in assembly and equipment used in assembly
• Maintains equipment used in area of responsibility
• Schedules and performs maintenance as required
• Works from material bills, standard work, assembly process sheets, instruction manuals, models, or from sketches or blueprints, with assistance from supervisor or the Engineering Department
• Works under general supervision and is subject to process and final inspection and checks
• Handles delicate, hazardous, and static sensitive materials appropriately

Requirements

• A high school diploma is required; vocational training is preferred but not required.
• At least 18 months of experience using assembly practices, procedures, techniques, and skills.
• Completion of relevant training programs such as FIFO training, Safety training, TPM training, Contamination training, SAP Training, DMR process training, solder/wire tinning certification (levels 4 & 6 or higher), Zero! D Training, ESD Training, and Certified on Production Processes.
• Print accurate product labels

Qualifications

• Good English language communication skills, both verbal and written.

Skills

Pay

The pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
