About the role

The Production Operative supports the Team Leader and Senior Operators in achieving the weekly plan on time and in full, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently. You will report any activity that compromises safety and ensure all tasks align with product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with the H&S Manager to continuously improve safety standards throughout the departments.
• Maintain audit-ready hygiene and GMP standards.
• Adhere to high standards of timekeeping as outlined in the company handbook.
• Operate machines in line with SOPs and instructions from the Team Leader and Machine Operators.
• Ensure the quality of all finished products meets the highest standards, including seal integrity, product weight, and coding details per product specifications.
• Assist Machine Operators/Senior Operators with machine changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Communicate quality-related issues with the Quality Control Department.
• Perform FOL checks for every product.
• Report any machine, process, or personnel issues to the Team Leader or Manager promptly.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as instructed by the Team Leader or Manager.
• Support the Team Leader and Manager in developing best practices and continuous improvement.
• Maintain professionalism when representing the company internally or externally.
• Carry out "Rework Instructions" as requested by Senior Personnel.
• Complete all departmental paperwork (e.g., 30-minute quality sheets, reconciliation sheets, production sheets) accurately and on time.
