Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems
- Compiling, categorizing, calculating, auditing, or verifying information or data
- Communicating to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
- Using computers and computer systems (including SAP, Microsoft Office, Teams, Smartsheet) to program, enter data, or process information to distribute production schedules or work orders to production and other departments
- Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders to determine materials requirements or material priorities
- Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules
- Confer with establishment colleagues, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays
- Maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands
- Confer with department supervisors or other colleagues to assess progress and discuss the needed changes or solution
- Plan production commitments or timetables for business units, specific programs, or jobs, using Smartsheet
- Receiving, storing, and organizing raw materials and components to ensure they are readily available for production
- Keeping track of inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with procurement for reordering supplies as needed
- Preparing materials for production runs by staging them in designated areas, ensuring that all necessary components are available and in good condition
- Inspecting materials for defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards before they are released for production
- Working closely with production teams to understand material needs and timelines, ensuring that staging aligns with production schedules
- Adhering to safety protocols while handling materials and using equipment and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Maintaining accurate records of material usage, inventory levels, and any discrepancies or issues that arise
