Caljan US is growing, and we’re looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Production Manager to lead our assembly operations and drive excellence across safety, quality, productivity, and team development. As our Production Manager, you’ll oversee all assembly operations and ensure our team delivers high-quality products safely, efficiently, and on time.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and manage all assembly activities with a focus on cost-effective operations
- Align team goals with Caljan’s strategic objectives and foster a culture of recognition and accountability
- Champion a proactive safety culture; coordinate internal/external audits and incident investigations
- Oversee staffing needs, performance evaluations, coaching, development, and corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement using LEAN, 5S, and best-practice manufacturing principles
- Manage production planning, scheduling, and workload distribution
- Use our ERP system to track labor, costs, efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed at every stage of assembly
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues
- Prepare BOMs, routings, production orders, and complete production order packages
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics on machine and parts deliveries
- Lead departmental meetings and contribute to broader production and strategic discussions
- Chair the Safety Committee and oversee emergency management procedures
- Support annual budgeting, year-end inventory, and monthly KPI reporting
- Provide regular updates to the Managing Director
- Perform other duties as needed to support a high-growth environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Strong background in assembly processes and fabrication
- Experience in machine building and production procedures
- Knowledge of LEAN, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to lead teams through growth and change
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
