Production Manager, Machine Room

About the role

The Bernard Group is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Machine Room team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Manager will manage, mentor, and coach Supervisors, Leads, and employees in the production area. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality standards are met, controlling costs, and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and coach Supervisors, Leads, and employees in the Machine Room production area
• Train and provide expertise to new and existing employees on efficient and effective machine operations and new equipment
• Identify resource needs, create cost/benefit analyses, and address disciplinary actions as required
• Motivate, mentor, coach, and train employees for professional development, employee engagement, and a safe and inclusive environment
• Set high performance expectations, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement
• Monitor and control work to meet quality standards and client schedules
• Ensure assembly integrity through continuous monitoring of departmental processes
• Oversee supply levels and monitor issues and receipts for work orders
• Implement and execute new hire training and provide learning opportunities
• Handle ADP and EPACE functions, monitor efficiency and productivity, and implement improvements
• Drive improvements in material flow, including cell design and material delivery
• Interact with other support departments as required
• Perform duties in other areas of the Fabrication department as needed

Pay

$73,600 - $88,300 annually
