Production Manager (Extrusion)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Captures production processes and activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize production and resource utilization.
• Ensures the quality of products and services to internal and external customers, continuously improving processes.
• Maintains equipment and facilities, ensuring their proper operation and maintenance.
• Communicates company goals and objectives to various departments and relays employee concerns to upper management.
• Optimizes manufacturing processes and ensures products meet customer specifications.
• Accurately inputs production data into the SAP system and communicates production reports to the Operations Manager.
• Maintains control over inventories, including raw materials and finished goods.
• Promotes adherence to safety, health, and environmental policies, including compliance with ISO certifications.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of training staff.
• Understanding of manufacturing and production processes in the industry.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems like SAP.
• Good understanding of finance, including income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and planning.
• Ability to multi-task.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Five (5) years manufacturing experience, preferably in an integrated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Five (5) years supervisory experience preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Exposure to machine noise.
• Typical office/factory environment with possible heat exposure in production areas.
• High-volume manufacturing environment.
• May involve lifting up to 30 pounds and working around heavy equipment.
• Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Requires use of safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, and work boots.
