Lead a Plant. Build a Team. Make an Impact. Our client is looking for a Production Manager who wants more than simply keeping the plant running. This is an opportunity to lead from the front, develop a high-performing team, and play a key role in driving the future of a growing manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities
- Leading, mentoring, and developing Production Supervisors and plant employees while creating a culture built around safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Driving operational excellence by meeting production, quality, cost, and customer service objectives.
- Working closely with the Quality team to ensure products consistently exceed customer expectations while promoting continuous improvement throughout the facility.
- Pricing with Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and improve overall plant performance.
- Partnering with Shipping and Receiving to optimize production schedules, improve workflow, and ensure customers receive products on time.
- Sponsoring and expanding Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives by encouraging ownership and involvement across the production team.
- Collaborating with Human Resources to recruit, develop, coach, and retain exceptional employees while building a highly engaged workforce.
- Championing Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen events, and process improvements that eliminate waste and improve productivity.
- Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards through an effective and sustainable 5S program.
- Using data, metrics, and employee feedback to identify opportunities for operational improvement and long-term success.
Requirements
- A four-year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
- At least five years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- A proven ability to lead teams through change while building trust and accountability.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of production operations, safety programs, and manufacturing best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop people at every level of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on leadership style.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is considered a strong asset but is not required.
Qualifications
