Production Manager

Description

The Production Manager is responsible for managing direct reports, coordinating manufacturing activities, and setting objectives related to production volumes, quality, safety, inventory, customer satisfaction, and fiscal budgets. They will also collaborate with the Plant Manager to revise production schedules and priorities, review and analyze production reports, and ensure compliance with WestRock policies and regulations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a corrugated packaging facility
• 3+ supervisory experience in manufacturing facility
• High School diploma or G.E.D
• Associate degree, preferably in Business or Applied Science
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Compliance with OSHA and WestRock regulations and guidelines
• Safe and clean work environment through education and direction of personnel
• Continuous improvement through revision of production schedules and analysis of production reports
• Strong relationships with key members of the organization to prevent production delays and enhance customer satisfaction
• Effective communication and enforcement of the safety program
• Proper staffing levels to maintain productivity activities
• Maintaining working relationships with the union and following the Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Training and development opportunities for facility’s Production Supervisors
• Problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work effectively with others and foster enthusiasm and mutual trust
