Production Manager
About the role
The Production Manager at Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLC is responsible for maintaining and developing plans for upgrades and maintenance of Technical Services equipment. They also research and implement new technologies, troubleshoot event needs, manage equipment inventory, and support senior production managers.
Responsibilities
- Document, implement, and maintain standard SOPs for all control room positions.
- Lead IATSE in training and operation of Sharks Sports and Entertainment owned broadcast and AV equipment.
- Support Sharks Sports and Entertainment technical service equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Manage Sharks Sports and Entertainment technical service equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Support Sharks Sports and Entertainment technical service equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Manage support contracts for Technical Services equipment.
- Maintain catalog of all field and truck panels with I/O details, photos, and status.
- Propose infrastructure changes and annual capital expense requests to Director, Technical Services and assist with implementation of approved projects as needed.
- Manage annual maintenance agreements for Sharks Sports and Entertainment Technical Service infrastructure.
- Assist Director in development of venue technical specifications document outlining all infrastructure-based services to make available to broadcast partners, other departments, and internal reference.
- Monitor and maintain Sharks Sports and Entertainment broadcast, and A/V systems.
- Support control room staff on all technical matters.
- Support local broadcast, supervise patching house feeds to truck and program feeds from the truck.
- Supervise Lead Technician in daily tasks, including confirming all radio & TV feeds, ensuring ADA/listening channels and closed captioning are fully functioning, and deploying Daktronics game clock hardware and additional infrastructure to penalty box.
- Aid in engineering, deploying, and supporting A/V setups for events.

Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years technical experience and control room experience required.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience with Broadcast and A/V systems and manufacturers such as: Grass Valley, Ross, EVS, Daktronics, QSC and additional control room systems.
- Proficiency in on-line team-based project management ecosystems.
- Willingness to work event-based hours that include nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Qualifications
- Ability to sit, stand, move quickly between workstations, and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Ability to physically navigate stairs and significantly elevated catwalks and platforms at heights at SSE facilities.
Skills
- Technical experience and control room experience.
- Experience with Broadcast and A/V systems and manufacturers such as: Grass Valley, Ross, EVS, Daktronics, QSC and additional control room systems.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $76,800- $90,000 per year. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
