Position Summary
The Operations Manager will support Converting and Extrusion Production teams, assisting with planning, directing, and coordinating production activities.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and execute strategies to achieve optimum safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.
- Advance initiatives promoting and sustaining the safety, health, security, and welfare of all employees.
- Maintain safe, clean, orderly, and environmentally compliant production operations.
- Inclusive oversight of all production and production support activities ensuring compliance with Company policies, principles, procedures, values, and standards.
- Perpetually assess current strategies, systems, procedures, performance, capabilities, equipment, facilities, and employees for opportunities to optimize safety, flow, service, quality, and profitability.
- Undertake and perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
- Ensure production activities remain on time and within budget.
- Track staffing needs, hire new hires as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- High school degree required, secondary education and/or leadership training preferred.
- Requires thorough knowledge of production processes to oversee bag making process.
- A minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in a production environment.
- Demonstrated competence to work with minimal supervision effectively with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, willing and able to learn new systems.
- Willing and able to work overtime.
