Principal Responsibilities

  • Implements manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, employee safety, environmental compliance, image, labor hours, cycle, production costs and capital improvements.
  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs and maintenance requirements.
  • Captures, stores, and retrieves production data for reports.
  • Assists with training and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Develops employees to maximize their potential.
  • Works with plant manager to establish budget, and reviews budget on an ongoing basis.
  • Participates and contributes to company safety program.

Management Duties

  • Supervision of exempt and/or non-exempt staff.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and improvement plans.
  • Approving paid time-off (PTO).
  • Assigning or delegating work.
  • Providing on-the-job training.
  • Giving guidance to staff.
  • Taking disciplinary action.
  • Interviewing candidates for open positions.
