Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain donut shop operations, including production of quality baked goods according to strict deadlines.
- Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
- Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions.
- Plan and review compensation actions, enforce company policies, procedures, standards, and processes.
- Accurately tabulate payroll for all back-of-house staff.
- Estimate food costs and profits, adjust and manage staff to achieve cost and profit goals.
- Control costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation, minimizing waste, and ensuring high quality of preparation.
- Maximize restaurant profitability by ensuring portion control and monitoring accuracy of charges.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing disaster plans; maintaining security and sprinkler systems; and maintaining parking lot and walkways.
- Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, and utensil quality and placement; and monitoring food presentation and service.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and clearly interpret general business operations.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate/present information and respond to questions from corporate headquarters, regional manager, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to supervise and train newly hired staff effectively.
- Ability to define problems and determine solutions.
