About the role

This is a 100% on-site Production Management Internship for Summer 2027 at our manufacturing facilities in Missouri (Carthage), Pennsylvania (Shippensburg), Utah (Logan), and Wisconsin (Beloit, West Bend). Relocation assistance is provided if relocating 50 miles or more. This is a paid internship at $22.00 per hour.

What you'll do

  • Gain exposure to people leadership, process improvements, and a variety of operations projects
  • Develop understanding of production lines and processes
  • Assist in projects to improve quality, productivity, and ensure a food-safe product
  • Work with plant leadership to meet or exceed daily production goals
  • Identify customer requirements and communicate them to the team
  • Collaborate to improve plant productivity and increase efficiency
  • Identify and resolve process issues as they arise
  • Together with leadership team, ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans and customer requirements
  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups
  • Establish and audit PCPs, CCPs, and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes and ensure customer requirements are met
  • Review incidents where procedures are not met and determine appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Dairy Science, Food Science, Animal Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality, or related/similar degree
  • Must be enrolled as a student during the time of the internship (Spring 2027 graduates or previous graduates will not be considered)
  • Willingness to relocate for Summer 2027 to our manufacturing plants in Missouri (Carthage), Pennsylvania (Shippensburg), Utah (Logan), or Wisconsin (Beloit, West Bend)
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week during the 2027 summer
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum—more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle to meet travel necessities (for positions requiring travel)
  • Authorization to work in the country in which the role is based (sponsorship may be considered at the company's sole discretion)

  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to interact well with people from diverse backgrounds and adapt to different communication styles and personalities
  • Ability to train hourly partners on process changes and improvements
