We are looking for a Skilled Trades Technician to support, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair all necessary equipment and tooling to ensure manufacturing meets all customer schedules. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and is based at our Bowling Green, Ohio location.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and competently perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in an injection molding manufacturing assembly environment (emphasis on Robotics/Electrical/PLC)
  • Read, understand, and carry out work based on job work orders, standard jobs, sketches, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and other documents related to Engineering specifications
  • Participate in root cause analysis, defect elimination, and continuous improvement processes
  • Inspect and maintain tools and work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Execute project schedules assigned by supervision
  • Establish and maintain planned maintenance activities
  • Share knowledge and train others
  • Perform job duties with minimal supervision
  • Perform physical and mental activities as required, including lifting, climbing, and operation of genie booms, fork trucks, and all lifting devices
  • Use precision measuring instruments
  • Comply with quality and environmental standards procedures and instructions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years formal education beyond high school in a technical field and one to three years of on-the-job experience in technical trades, or
  • Associates Degree in a technical field such as Robotics or Electronics that provided hands-on learning experience, or
  • Five years proven experience in a technical field
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled environment, including potential to perform work across other skilled trades’ crafts
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to learn, including training others
  • Leadership ability in project management and continuous improvement activities
  • Thoroughness and orderliness in performing work assignments
  • Ability to utilize tools, follow directions, maintain tempo, recognize quality, problem solve, exhibit teamwork, use interpersonal skills, and work safely
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
  • May be required to qualify for forklift certification and operate lift devices

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Injection Molding Tool & Die maintenance
