Production Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment (mechanical, air, hydraulic, and electrical) in the plant.
• Interact and navigate the maintenance work order system, related processes and people, to directly and timely complete repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities throughout the shift.
• Absenteeism and punctuality in reporting to work and completing assignments.
• Collaborate and work well with others.
• Assist in other plant operations.
• Complete clean-up responsibilities and maintain work station according to 5S procedure.
• Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace.
• Participate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.

Qualifications

• Essential Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required:
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic repair knowledge.
  • Ability to design, fabricate, weld.
  • Utilize technology to solve problems, seek solutions, and upgrade systems.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, technical documents.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing priorities/tasks.
  • Identify and communicate with outside contractors.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Minimum Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience maintaining equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Minimum Education:
  • Associates degree or certification in a Maintenance related field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
