About the role

Use your experience and skills to troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain manufacturing and ancillary equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Use monitoring and testing equipment to facilitate troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining equipment.
  • Expand your abilities, skills, and knowledge to work on existing and new equipment and technology.
  • Work safely, follow lockout/tagout (LO/TO) and electrical safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two-year certificate from college or technical school with a focus in machining and/or electronics; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, computation of rate, ratio, and percent, and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell.
  • May require manual lifting not to exceed 50 lbs (refer to department-specific Job Hazard Analysis for restrictions).

Work Environment

  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Schedule

7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (2-2-3 schedule)
