Production Machine Operator
About the role
After on-the-job training, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery and material handling equipment on the production floor. Machinery used will include overhead cranes, small and large swagers, and cutting machinery. Your duties will also include measuring and material transportation.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate machines used in production processes under general direction.
- Follow established procedures for operating various conventional and/or specialized manufacturing processes (drawing, heat treatment, cutting, straightening, etc.).
- Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
- Raise and report issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations.
- Inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
- Maintain and clean your workstation, adhering to safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
Expected results: Quality of the tubes; Productivity with number of parts produced per hour; Compliance with production procedures and instructions; Quality control of parts and identification of defects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work Second shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) and/or Night shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- Can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
- Track record of dependability and safety.
- Ability to learn on the job and respect safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay
Start salary: $20.00 per hour, with regular increases starting at 6 months of seniority.
Schedule
- Second shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Night shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
