Production Line Shift Supervisor

Key Skills

• Train and manage production team members on the assigned shift.
• Oversee the daily workflow, assignments, and production of the assigned shift.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager and Human Resources Manager to provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Work with Human Resources Manager to prepare work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ensures that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
• Work with the maintenance team to troubleshoot mechanical issues that arise.
• Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager to schedule and lead safety and product trainings.
• Ensure paperwork and reports are completed and signed correctly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
• Able to perform repetitive movement stand/walk/listen for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Flexible and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Proven track record of excellent supervisory and leadership skills, team player, able to communicate well with others, and work alongside the team on the production line.
• Able to work at a fast pace, repetitive work environment, with strong ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including but not limited to, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and work conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
