About the role

As a Production Attendant, you will play a crucial role in preparing packaging in accordance with customer specifications, adhering to company policies, and maintaining GMPs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures including GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S.
- Efficiently package cheese into desired packaging material.
- Identify and communicate any out-of-spec product conditions; follow the established notification protocol.
- Avoid rotation into all positions on the line.
- Box and palletize boxes according to instructions: ensuring accurate counts and proper identification.
- Sanitize lines when needed.
- Enter data on production reports.
Qualifications
- Can consistently push, pull, and lift between 20 and 40 pounds.
- Can work with frequent bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and maneuvering around manufacturing equipment.
- Can continuously stand or walk on a concrete surface.
- Can work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
- Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
- Have basic analytical and numerical skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Have a working knowledge of Safety Methods and Procedures.
- Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.
- Are committed to food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate professionalism and positively represent and promote Saputo at all times.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
- Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
- Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.
