Production Lead, Millwork

About the role

We are seeking a Production Lead to join our Millwork team. This role involves directing, controlling, and tracking wood shop projects from start to finish, managing line employees and temporary workers, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is utilized.

Responsibilities

• Review projects and create a vision for line set up and flow
• Direct team on tasks needed to complete the job on time
• Monitor the quality control on lines
• Ensure all necessary paperwork for the projects is utilized
• Complete time studies as needed
• Set up production lines
• Assist in the training and development of both regular and temporary workforce
• Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of 3 years experience in fabrication or Millwork kitting or assembly (optional)
• Make the right call with quality decisions, possess good judgment and keen problem-solving skills in determining better, more efficient work flows with the same high-quality standard
• Drive results, take initiative, and apply time management and self-management skills every day to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
• Be accountable and take ownership of work commitments in meeting clients' expectations and timelines
• Collaborate and embrace the "Art of the Team" by working with coworkers to get the work done on-time and within budget
• Have a passion for excellence and drive for quality in all that the team produces

• Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization
