Responsibilities
- Guide and oversee a small team to orchestrate the precise blending and mixing of raw materials, ensuring our extrusion lines are perfectly staged and ready for seamless production.
- Acts as a liaison to management and provides feedback to all other support groups with respect to operations.
- Maintain and operate production lines, ensuring the continuous flow of raw material input perfectly aligns with the output rate of finished product.
- Train and develop new and current employees, providing input for employee reviews.
- Initiate necessary work orders to keep production lines maintained and operating.
- Perform housekeeping and ensure environmental compliance.
- Inspect and report equipment, supply, and material issues/problems to the Manager.
- Assist in completing and maintaining departmental records.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Effective communication with all levels and types of internal and external individuals, including writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Good organization and planning skills, as well as problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Bill of Materials (BOM), shipping documents, and procedure manuals.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Teamwork and commitment to team goals.
- Expert knowledge of ERP system software, preferably SAP, procedures, or processes.
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to work outside from time to time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in material handling or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, SAP, and Outlook.
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
