Lead Material Handler - Manufacturing

About the role

The Materials Handler Team Leader ensures the production line meets or exceeds the minimum daily production standard, maintains product quality, and ensures accurate departmental inventory reporting for raw materials and finished products.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks and duties personally and directs/coordinates activities of department staff
• Liaison between department and management
• Communicates information, instructions, and requests to management and employees clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Uses PC's, Barcode Scanners, and AS400 to enter, retrieve, and send required data and information
• Maintains adherence to Quality guidelines
• Mentor/training function

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand work instructions in English
• 12+ months related experience
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 35 pounds
• Possibly requires Powered Industrial Truck certification
