Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides daily direction and leadership to the Production team members; makes recommendations for labor needs in assigned areas.
- Makes sure team's productivity; identifies work procedures; prepares work schedules and expedites workflow; studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
- Provides escalation path for work cell teams and communicates daily with Production Supervisor.
- Participates in department hiring and corrective action processes.
- Makes sure productivity, safety, quality and delivery goals of assigned work cells.
- Creates and manages a positive team culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
- Oversees the staff's daily performance.
- Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continual improvement within the department and the company.
- Promotes a safe work environment and ensures that all employees are following safety rules and regulations.
- Covers priorities with Production leadership.
- Follows and enforces all 5S and safety policies.
- Conducts regular 5S, quality, safety and production audits.
- Shares and supports ideas for improvement in group Meetings.
Required Experience And Knowledge/ Skills/Ability
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years production lead experience
- 1 - 3 years of production daily/weekly scheduling and planning
- A minimum of 2 years lean manufacturing / 5S experience
- Prior experience troubleshooting electronic control systems
- Strong computer skills - business application, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, an advanced ERP...
