Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides daily direction and leadership to the Production team members; makes recommendations for labor needs in assigned areas.
• Makes sure team's productivity; identifies work procedures; prepares work schedules and expedites workflow; studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
• Provides escalation path for work cell teams and communicates daily with Production Supervisor.
• Participates in department hiring and corrective action processes.
• Makes sure productivity, safety, quality and delivery goals of assigned work cells.
• Creates and manages a positive team culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
• Oversees the staff's daily performance.
• Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continual improvement within the department and the company.
• Promotes a safe work environment and ensures that all employees are following safety rules and regulations.
• Covers priorities with Production leadership.
• Follows and enforces all 5S and safety policies.
• Conducts regular 5S, quality, safety and production audits.
• Shares and supports ideas for improvement in group Meetings.

Required Experience And Knowledge/ Skills/Ability

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 3 years production lead experience
• 1 - 3 years of production daily/weekly scheduling and planning
• A minimum of 2 years lean manufacturing / 5S experience
• Prior experience troubleshooting electronic control systems
• Strong computer skills - business application, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, an advanced ERP...
