About the Role

Reporting to the Production Maintenance Manager, the Production Inventory Coordinator will maintain current inventory levels, receive new inventory, and optimize inventory for business efficiency. This position requires knowledge of purchasing and inventory control, an energetic work ethic, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. The role involves following detailed work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform daily tasks within the Production Maintenance Team. You will work closely with others in a team atmosphere on various projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing/Invoice Administration
    • Review purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery of goods.
    • Address shipping, receiving, and payment issues with outside vendors.
    • Request quotes from vendors.
    • Issue purchase orders to main and alternative vendors when necessary to acquire parts.
    • Review, record, and submit invoices to ensure accurate receipt of and payment for goods.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain the accuracy of the inventory management system through our current CMMS system.
    • Receive and distribute inbound deliveries accordingly.
    • Assist in ensuring all items are properly checked out of the stockroom and recorded as necessary.
    • Prepare and participate in physical inventory.
    • Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly environment in the stockroom.
  • Administrative Record Keeping
    • Maintain and adhere to the current budget.
    • Collaborate with finance and leadership to prepare future budgets.
    • Serve as a point of contact to answer internal questions and/or concerns regarding parts/stockroom.
    • Manage Excel reports to maintain accurate data.
    • Prepare and distribute department information to leadership as needed.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Training and/or experience as an administrator or in other administrative assignments.

Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CMMS programs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to complete it in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational commitments.
  • Excellent verbal communication and human relation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative skills and perception.

Scope of Decision-Making

Decisions require basic/routine analytical judgment. Plan and perform diversified duties requiring knowledge of a particular field and the use of a wide range of procedures. Involves the exercise of judgment in the analysis of facts or conditions regarding individual problems or transactions to determine what action should be taken within the guidelines or standard practice.

Pay

Compensation range: $20.00 – $24.00 USD per hour. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within this range and determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
