Production Inspector

The Production Inspector is responsible for inspection of products or units for compliance with blueprints and specifications including weight test requirements. This position is located at our Manila, AR facility. Duties And Responsibilities Inspect production and finished goods or units for compliance with blueprints and other specifications in order to communicate findings with production personnelOccasionally interpret job routes and ensure instructions are followed in the work areaInterpret all weld symbols and instructions and distinguish weld qualityInspect painted units for good paint processes and paint qualityProvide department employees with guidance, direction and technical assistance with correcting/avoiding errorsDevelop and maintain a clean and safe work environmentProvide customer satisfaction through quality inspections of work in process, and final inspection in shippingRepresent the shop floor at quality meetings and on improvement teams as required to ensure customer satisfactionPerform other duties and complete other assignments as may be required or assigned Qualifications – Skills And Experience 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience reading and understanding blueprints, welding techniques, painting and metal fabricationDeveloped communication skills and computer proficiency MS OfficeExperience communicating errors and error-prevention techniques through personal interaction based on trust, respect, communication, problem solving with individuals and the teamAbility to stand for 8 to 10 hours while performing the jobAbility to lift to 30 to 60 lbs safely and consistentlyMust be able to bend, twist, reach, and grasp items for inspection Personal Characteristics Interpersonal and influence skills through demonstrated succinct and professional communicationsAbility to learn Southworth’s product offering, specifications, and options, with an ability to comprehend the customer’s application and recommend the appropriate solution.Ability to work independently and take appropriate initiative under minimal supervisionProven critical thinking skills and problem-solving skillsSolid team-building skills and team playerProven presentation skills and emotional intelligenceOptimistic with a can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a fast-paced and changing environment.Works well under pressure We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer: You’ll receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status or disability.
