Responsibilities

This position is responsible for overall assembly process, including building, assembling, testing, injection molding and packaging a variety of meters or meter reading technology products. The work is completed through manual assembly, utilization of various specialty pieces of equipment, or automated machinery.

• Meter Assembly: Perform a variety of operations such as assembly of meters, leak testing, meter testing, and packaging of meter products while following safety guidelines.
• Molding: Perform a variety of tasks such as operation of plastic injection molding machines and perform secondary operations to molded parts such as degating, sprue removal and drilling.
• Registration Assembly: Perform highly varied register assembly, sub-assembly and test operations on electro/mechanical units.
• Machining: May operate and tend to multiple machines simultaneously, following work instructions ensuring the highest quality products.

Requirements

High School Degree/GED preferred, 0-1 years of related experience preferred.

• Ability to pass internal forklift and hazmat training required
• Basic proficiency with computers required
• Basic skills in math required
• Basic ability to read, write, and speak English preferred

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day, lift up to 60 pounds, and pass an audiogram test.
