Production Helper - 3rd Shift , $22.08 per hour*

Union position on 3rd shift (9:00pm–6:30am), 4 × 10-hour days (Tuesday–Friday or Monday–Thursday; schedule may vary and overtime may be required).

About the role

Set up and operate all packaging equipment, ensure product quality, and oversee every packaging-line position in the plant. Perform packaging, sanitation, shipping, and forklift duties.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor packaging line for maintenance, sanitation, packaging needs, or deviations; make adjustments as needed.
  • Report mechanical problems to maintenance.
  • Recognize, report, and—if necessary—hold non-conforming or inferior product (including improper slicing).
  • Set up packers for all products.
  • Change packaging film, colored bands, and thermal ribbons.
  • Pull broken trays and/or foreign matter from the line; operate the tray washer.
  • Abide by and ensure plant personnel follow all GMPs, personal-safety, food-safety, HACCP, and SQF rules.
  • Adhere to the Baldinger Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
  • Basic math and computation skills; verbal and written communication skills.
  • Forklift experience preferred.

Physical requirements

  • Able to stand for up to 12 hours while working with and around machinery.
  • Able to stoop, bend, and crouch regularly to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds continuously.
  • Able to push/pull wheeled carts of 100–500 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to sweep, mop, and perform general and detailed cleaning per SSOPs.
  • Able to climb ladders.

Pay

$22.08 per hour plus $0.50 per hour shift differential.
