Production Generalist - Retail Nights

About the role

Pilgrim’s is a leading global provider of high-quality food products, including well-recognized brands and value-added premium products. Located in Arcadia, WI, Pilgrim’s works with 150 local growers and employs approximately 500 team members.

Responsibilities

• Learn and train to back up all support positions within 2nd Processing and back-up the positions as needed.
• Work the line when not in a back-up position or training.
• Participate in job correlations/audits and SOP reviews and revisions.
• Communicate real-time results to processing support on the floor.
• Through communication with Process Control and Process Leads, monitor quality standards of product and make necessary adjustments when needed.
• Rotation between tasks and departments is required.
• May be asked to rotate to positions that require data collecting and recordkeeping.

Requirements

• High school or GED is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations.
• Basic data entry skills preferred.
• The ability to demonstrate leadership qualities such as taking action independently, correcting processes that have fallen out of control, problem-solving issues, etc.

Qualifications

• Ability to become authorized in LOTO and pallet jack operations.
• Flexibility to work in changing environments and adjust to various production demands.

Skills

• Basic data entry skills.
• Ability to communicate questions and concerns effectively to maintenance and/or leadership.

Pay

This position starts at $23.28/hour and includes a $1.50 shift differential.
