Responsibilities

  • Read and follow printed and computer-based work instructions.
  • Lift with a mechanical lifting device.
  • Record data either manually or by computer as required.
  • Build ceramic molds around completed wax assemblies and remove wax once complete.
  • Inspect, disposition, clean, repair, plug and wrap molds in preparation for Casting.
  • Transport and set-up molds for preheat and casting furnaces.
  • Remove scale and core material per customer specifications.
  • Inspect wax patterns or metal castings for dimensional conformance to specifications which may require the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Ultrasonic gauges (UT), 3D inspection using white or blue light scanning technology, and hand-held measuring devices to include feeler gauges or pincher gauges in accordance with blueprint specifications.
  • Remove excess metal or other material per customer specifications.
  • Blend welds or prepare castings for welding by means of grinding and blending.
  • Operate and maintain blast cabinets, Burr guns, belt sanders, visual tools, and dimensional gauges.
  • Cut and weigh alloy ingots for casting.
  • Visually inspect castings.
  • Move parts, equipment, and materials throughout the shop.
  • Perform shop floor cleaning activities up to and including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, painting, waxing, etc.
  • Able to work in team environments, solo work and working with all level’s management, engineering, and other departments.
  • Willing to participate in continuous improvements initiatives within our process to enhance the work task.
  • Interact with a variety of team members to ensure product specifications and defect removal.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: An application must include a resume and at least two professional references for review and consideration. This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). This position requires a minimum of 2 years of continuous work experience. Recent high school or college graduates without prior work experience must provide a letter of recommendation. Availability for all shifts (including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekend shift) is necessary. The ability to work overtime and weekends is required as schedules may vary based on operational needs; flexibility is essential. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Burr guns, belt sanders, visual tools, and dimensional gauges, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Ultrasonic gauges (UT), 3D inspection using white or blue light scanning technology, and hand-held measuring devices to include feeler gauges or pincher gauges.
