Production General Service

Job Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols, work instructions and guidelines within the production department
• Operate heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc)
• Carry out various laborer tasks (lifting, pulling, shoveling, carrying and other manual tasks)
• Absorb and assist production and maintenance crews with tasks as required in the plant
• Use computerized maintenance management system to enter work orders
• Absorb and assists assistant operator with troubleshooting the process to maintain required operating conditions
• Reports any abnormal conditions (safety, process, mechanical) to Area Operator and/or Shift Supervisor
• Keeps work area safe and clean
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in a manufacturing facility an asset
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• High level of safety awareness and attention to detail
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc) an asset
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50lbs and climb heights
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, up to and including holidays/weekends
