About the Role
The Production Foreman supervises a specific department and/or shift, overseeing and participating in all activities to ensure effective operation. This role focuses on maximizing production machinery uptime and throughput in both quantity and quality.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage a department and/or shift to maximize production machinery uptime and throughput.
- Supervise staff, including designating work assignments, providing instruction, reviewing completed work, and contributing to performance appraisals.
- Monitor equipment performance and product quality, addressing issues with corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety rules, guidelines, and procedures.
- Track inventory levels of supplies and make procurement recommendations for tools, replacement parts, or similar items.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance staff knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by managers.
- Enforce corporate and plant quality standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Three or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Five or more years of high-speed manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Must have high-speed manufacturing experience.
- Mechanically inclined with experience using common hand tools and power tools.
