Production Engineer II

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing production team needs, providing guidance and problem resolution.
  • Preparation of test procedures and O&M manuals.
  • Review of technical documentation.
  • Work with other engineers to support regulatory audits.
  • Providing troubleshooting for product testing.
  • Answering post-sale technical support questions.
  • Collaborating with division managers to implement process upgrades.
  • Building first articles of new product designs
  • Developing new processes to optimize production
  • Helping senior team members prepare samples for listings with UL, NSF, and FM, as well as communication with various agencies to maintain current listings

Qualifications

  • Education: bachelor’s degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 5 -10 years in Manufacturing or related position.
  • Experience with Air Valves or Hydraulic Control Valves- advantage.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Visio & Office Products. Experience with SolidWorks.
  • Language: English. Additional languages – advantage.
  • Experience with Technical Troubleshooting.
  • Require minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to think critically and independently find solutions when presented a problem.
  • Detailed and effective at accurately documenting specifications.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at one time, balancing every day production needs with larger systemic upgrades.
  • Able to work in and lead a team.
  • Patient and capable of working under pressure.
  • Building intercompany relations to better serve the production and manufacturing teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
  • May occasionally work in temperatures ranging from cold to extremely hot.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection.
  • May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pound.
