About the Role

Toyota’s Assembly Department is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineering Specialist to support the Assembly department's objective of managing technical operations. This role reports to the Assembly Engineering Manager and focuses on problem-solving activities related to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost for daily production, new model introduction, and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop specifications and procure equipment, tools, and jigs to ensure quality and safety for new and existing processes.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop and sustain effective countermeasures for completed vehicle problems.
  • Set up and improve (kaizen) vehicle processing, including critical process controls, regulations, part selection, and safety.
  • Network with Production and Maintenance teams daily to identify, investigate, and implement process and product improvements.
  • Lead and coordinate problem-solving activities related to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Manage projects with demonstrated capability to develop and execute strategies to achieve project targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering or a similar technical discipline.
  • Experience in a Final Assembly Plant.
  • Experience working with torque tightening control tools.
  • Experience with design, modification, technical specifications, and implementation of major and minor equipment.

Qualifications

  • Automotive manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Experience with Assembly control systems, such as ICS+, AVI, TOHO, AIS, TVECS, Qualias, TEIS.
  • PLC programming experience, such as Allen Bradley, Toyopuc, or similar.
  • Experience with CAD software like Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, including the ability to read, interpret, and modify 2D and 3D drawings.
