Essential Duties
- Partner with Aoyama Seisakusho group of companies to provide products and manufacturing processes to support the North America fastener markets.
- Show strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, PLCs and equipment.
- Show proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), process simulation & data analysis tools.
- Show experience with Toyota Production System, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Show strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Develop and manage process documentation such as work instructions, SOPs, and process control plans.
- Show strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and deliver technical training to technical and non-technical Team Members.
- Support problem investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Includes use of poka-yoke devices.
- Initiate, justify, budget, implement and manage capital projects.
- Support manufacturing process design, equipment selection, capability validation and process maintenance activities.
- Show MS Office proficiency – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- Show a Bachelor's degree (BS) in an Engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Science).
- Show 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Show effective communication skills to collaborate with other team members and customers.
- Show ability to interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations, write reports, capital appropriation requests, and procedure manuals.
- Show fluency in English. Fluent in Japanese is helpful.
- Show ability to identify and resolve technical challenges related to manufacturing.
