Production Engineer

Creare develops innovative high-technology products for a variety of customers and marketplaces, including turbomachines for power generation, miniature vacuum pumps for space exploration, power electronics for military applications, and orbital electronic assemblies. Production Engineers support our Lead Manufacturing Engineers with the operational execution of Creare’s production-focused projects, bring a rigorous engineering mindset to hardware fabrication and assembly, and ensure that high-technology components meet stringent application requirements. Responsibilities
- Support Lead Manufacturing Engineers by driving the production process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products
- Oversee parts procurement, evaluate vendors, source specialized materials, and manage ongoing supplier relationships
- Collaborate closely with external manufacturers and vendors to track/expedite materials and services, ensuring strict adherence to engineering standards and project deadlines
- Utilize and maintain electronic production management systems
- Identify and mitigate production bottlenecks to streamline fabrication and assembly processes
- Understand quality standards, ensuring that all project requirements are met and documented appropriately
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide electronic and mechanical parts through internal and external production processes
Requirements
- Engineering degree (from an ABET-accredited institution) or a related technical engineering discipline is required
- Experience in production, technical manufacturing, or planning, preferably within an R&D, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing environment is a plus
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication techniques, mechanical/electronic assembly, and technical drawing interpretation
- Direct experience utilizing ERP software and managing supply chain mechanics is desired
- Understanding of manufacturing principles and improvement strategies
- Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 quality standards is highly desirable
- Demonstrated team collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and effective written and oral communication skills

Pay
Starting salary range of $80,000 to $105,000 per year, based on level of education completed and years of relevant experience.
