Production Engineer
About the role
As a Production Engineering Specialist, you will lead the design and optimization of assembly processes for new product introduction, focusing on workflow efficiency, takt time alignment, throughput improvement, and cost optimization to achieve smooth ramp-ups and full production capacity. You will lead structured lean initiatives including 5S, value stream mapping, and line balancing by applying data-driven problem-solving to eliminate waste, improve quality, and drive continuous operational excellence. You will assess emerging manufacturing technologies and equipment to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance, defining testing protocols, approval criteria, and leading vendor selection for new equipment and solutions. You will support production line operations with real-time troubleshooting, equipment issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination to keep manufacturing running smoothly and minimize downtime. You will work closely with third-party suppliers, equipment vendors, and international manufacturing teams to coordinate technical requirements, drive process improvements, and execute complex projects on time and on budget. You will train operators and technical staff on new processes and standardized work; develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and work instructions; ensure all processes comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

- Absess emerging manufacturing technologies and equipment to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance, defining testing protocols, approval criteria, and leading vendor selection for new equipment and solutions
- Support production line operations with real-time troubleshooting, equipment issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination to keep manufacturing running smoothly and minimize downtime

Requirements
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience in production or industrial engineering, ideally in an international manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks with proven track record in process industrialization, line commissioning, and structured problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional projects, manage stakeholder relationships in multicultural environments, and drive adoption of new processes and technologies across manufacturing teams
- Strong analytical and data management skills with proficiency in performance analytics, KPI tracking, and reporting.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, planned maintenance, equipment performance management, and technical engineering disciplines, with experience across multiple product lines or assembly environments
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills with the ability to train operators, lead workshops, and engage senior stakeholders; working proficiency in English required; familiarity with digital manufacturing tools (MES, IIoT, Industry 4.0) is a plus

Pay
Target Salary Range for this role is $95,000-110,000 USD
