About the role

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Production Worker for their manufacturing plant in Watertown. This role operates on second shift and involves performing tasks such as dumping ready-to-package product to packaging lines, verifying ingredients, assisting in stacking, and maintaining packaging standards.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies ingredients being dumped
  • Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed
  • Dumps blended ingredients or products into Hopper as per job order
  • Frequent pushing / pulling of drums weighing over 100 lbs.
  • Affixes to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet
  • Affixes to assist in bagging of product as needed
  • Maintains packaging standards
  • Completes paperwork as needed
  • Maintains integrity of product
  • Affixes to assist in inventory and cycle counts
  • Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma, some college or advanced courses preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years hands-on experience in production area or related field
  • Proven record for quality, safety, and attendance policies
  • Thorough work knowledge of OSHA, company policies and procedures, and manufacturing/QA processes
  • Must successfully pass required testing for supervisory position
  • Willing to attain DOT physical and CDL-A license if warranted
  • Professional communication, analytical abilities, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and general knowledge in MS Office, AS400, and Lotus Notes
