Position Overview

The Production Designer, Print & Digital, is a detail-oriented creative professional responsible for transforming design concepts into polished, production-ready assets across print and digital channels. You’ll play a critical role in bringing ideas to life by preparing, adapting, and finalizing creative materials while ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and technical accuracy. Working closely with designers, copywriters, developers, and project managers, you’ll help deliver high-quality creative outputs on time in a fast-paced environment.

$70,000 – $95,000 per year

Location

Hybrid: 3 days per week in office, 2 days remote in Schaumburg, IL or Irving, TX

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare, adapt, and finalize creative files for production across both print and digital channels.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet brand standards, production specifications, and accessibility requirements.
  • Execute versioning, resizing, formatting, and adaptation of assets for multiple platforms and audiences.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on all files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and visual polish before release.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries, version control systems, and production documentation.
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, developers, and project managers to support the timely and accurate delivery of projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing speed with precision under tight deadlines.
  • Apply knowledge of printing processes, templates, and press-ready file preparation for high-quality print production.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of design systems and component libraries.
  • Stay up to date with production tools, techniques, and accessibility standards, proactively sharing insights with the team.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic or production design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including experience with components, auto layout, libraries, and collaborative design workflows.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Deep knowledge of print production specifications and experience preparing press-ready files.
  • Experienced in digital asset preparation for email, web, and other online platforms.
  • Skilled in applying ADA accessibility standards to digital deliverables.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a keen eye for quality, consistency, and visual polish.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities, adapt to evolving deadlines, and deliver under pressure.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to contribute to a creative team environment.
  • Must have agency experience.
  • An online portfolio or portfolio website demonstrating both print and digital production work is required.
