About the Role

To learn all aspects of production and handle production goal tracking, quality and quantity checks. Upon the discretion of the manager, this position may supervise retail production staff. This role also supports and fills in as a Customer Service Coordinator when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals for the store.
  • Work with the manager to ensure donation volume or raw material meets expectations to support store goals and sales.
  • Ensure every rack or cart of processed goods meets standards of quality and closely monitors quantity and pricing.
  • Cross-train and be proficient in every aspect of production, including pace, to train new Merchandise Processors and fill in when necessary.
  • Train new staff and coach existing staff to follow the production process, holding staff accountable for meeting processing goals.
  • Perform opening and closing of the store as assigned by the manager.
  • Cross-train and be proficient in cash register procedures to substitute for a Customer Service Coordinator.
  • Communicate production progress, changes, and general information during staff meetings.
  • Ensure workstations are stocked with only necessary supplies to meet goals.
  • Ensure the store is locked, secured, and all personnel have left safely when closing.
  • Ensure all Merchandise Processors complete one hour of floor work each day.
  • Ensure product placement and rotation processes follow company standards.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the management team or Store Manager.
  • Meet quality and goals by sending jewelry and merchandise weekly to the Ecommerce Department.
  • Ensure compliance with all Goodwill Keystone Area policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  • Support additional tasks and projects as needed.
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure duties are performed safely.
  • Communicate progress, problems, and concerns to the Store Manager.

Positions Supervised

This position is not a supervisory role; however, it includes coaching, training, and development of team members. Supervisory duties such as hiring, disciplinary action, performance reviews, and termination are the responsibility of the Store Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or three (3) years of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous retail or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work in an open warehouse environment exposed to various weather and temperatures.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and work as a team member.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to continuously perform repetitive work.
  • Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Requires adaptability and flexibility, including scheduled work hours.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to use a computer, calculator, and other technology for backroom operations.
  • Must complete and pass State background check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance.
